Loosing someone or something you love is very painful. After the loss of a loved one, one may experience all kinds of emotions. One might find themselves feeling numb or even unable to carry on with their daily duties and activities. Some have thoughts of confusion, disbelief, and wondering if it's all just a dream. Some may experience feelings of sadness, anger, guilt, loneliness, short tempered, or even lack of confidence. Many people deal with death of a loved one differently. Some suggestions is keep yourself occupied as much as you can. Find people who will understand your need to talk, and ones who would really listen. Don't hold back or bottle your feelings up or you may become severely depressed. Don't forget to pay attention to your health, make sure your eating healthy and getting enough sleep. Also, don't let others rush you into "getting over" your feelings, only you know when your ready to move on.
I've had to deal with the loss of both of my grandfathers, and my mother. My mother was one of the hardest experiences I've had to go through. Dealing with the loss of the three of them took a long period of time. I do believe you never fully get over it, you just learn to cope with the death of them.
